Privacy Policy
Last updated August 16, 2026. This page explains what information this website collects and how it's used.
What we collect
The personal information this website collects is what you choose to submit through the contact form at /contact, which supports a few different inquiry types — Discovery Call, AI & Copilot Readiness Assessment, AI Readiness Checklist, General Inquiry, Careers, and Partnership. Depending on which one you use, this includes: your name, work email, organization, role, message, and fields specific to that inquiry (for example, company size and AI maturity for an assessment request, or location, skills, and an optional resume for a career inquiry) — and, only if you check the optional box, consent to receive occasional email updates.
We also automatically capture standard technical metadata with each submission — IP address, browser user agent, the page you submitted from, and campaign tracking parameters (UTM values) if present — to help us understand which pages and campaigns generate inquiries and to support basic spam/abuse prevention.
This site does not run advertising pixels or sell visitor data to third parties. It does use Google Analytics — see below.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use this site — which pages are viewed, how visitors arrived (including UTM campaign parameters), general device/browser/location information, and approximate session duration. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to support this.
This data is aggregated and used only to understand site usage and improve the website; it is not combined with contact form submissions or used to identify you personally. Google acts as a data processor for this analytics data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using your browser's cookie/tracking-protection settings.
How we use it
Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to your inquiry and, if you've opted in, to send occasional relevant updates about Cygnite's services. Submissions are stored in a database, logged as a fallback record, and emailed to Cygnite's inbox so no inquiry gets lost, along with an automatic acknowledgement email back to you. We don't sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Resume handling (career inquiries)
If you upload a resume through the Careers form, it's stored on our server outside the public web root, not publicly accessible by URL, and used only to evaluate your inquiry against current or future delivery needs. Accepted formats are PDF, DOC, and DOCX, up to 5MB.
Marketing consent (CASL)
Email updates are only sent if you explicitly opt in via the consent checkbox on the contact form, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every marketing email includes a working way to unsubscribe, and replying to your original inquiry never requires opting in.
Retention
Contact submissions are retained for up to 24 months unless required longer for business, legal, tax, security, or contractual reasons. Career inquiries and resumes may be retained for up to 12 months unless you request deletion earlier.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask what information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion at any time by emailing hello@cygnite.com.
Changes to this policy
If what this site collects or how it's used changes — for example, if additional third-party tools are added later — this page will be updated to reflect that.
